Hello and Welcome!
My name is Wendy De Munari and I’m the Founder, Creator and Director of Work Ready NQ. As a business owner, trainer and employee, I understand at all levels the importance of effective and elegant communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in developing and growing individuals and organisations.
My Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communications from Central Queensland University (CQU) laid the foundations for a government, corporate and entrepreneurial career spanning 35 years. Through various HR, teaching, training, facilitating and learning support roles, combined with additional Training and Assessment qualifications, I have developed high-level knowledge, skills and experience in oral and written communications, public speaking and presenting, team-building, coaching and mentoring, and client engagement and service delivery.
Career transitioning over the past 16 years from government HR roles to owning and operating a training business to being a learning support facilitator and more recently corporate trainer in culturally diverse vocational education and training environments, has taught me about the importance of connecting with people, building strong relationships, working collaboratively, thinking both creatively and critically, and staying authentic and resilient in challenging situations.
Practical, real-world work and life experiences coupled with studies and research (and a good dose of later-life maturity!), have given me considerable insight, learning and wisdom into the subject of workplace communications and best practice. I also attribute my successes to the collective wisdoms and teachings of many professional and personal mentors in my working life. I have discovered in life that success happens through a combination of hard work, patience and resilience, a thirst for learning and growing, a liberal dose of self-confidence and self-belief, and maintaining a tolerant, open and curious mind to the people and world around us.
I'd now like to share what I have learnt as a result of these challenges and successes, and ultimately give you strategies and techniques to communicate, interact and present more effectively at work. I am strongly committed to helping small businesses and their employees navigate, develop and thrive in this post-COVID world. I believe that communication and interpersonal skills have never been more critical to both our professional and personal development, and to organisational and business performance and productivity.
